Phelps-Kobayashi Mash Up II

09/05/08 | by cole | Categories: Ramblings and Rants

Ok, this is bizarre, but it's all the walrus' fault. Let me explain.

Rob read this article that said Michael Phelps eats 12,000 calories per day, which goes something like this:

Breakfast: Three fried-egg sandwiches loaded with cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, fried onions and mayonnaise. Two cups of coffee. One five-egg omelet. One bowl of grits. Three slices of French toast topped with powdered sugar. Three chocolate-chip pancakes.

Lunch: One pound of enriched pasta. Two large ham and cheese sandwiches with mayo on white bread. Energy drinks packing 1,000 calories.

Dinner: One pound of pasta. An entire pizza. More energy drinks.

I'm just copying this bit directly from Rob's post here, but I think Rob copied it from the original article, so my level of chagrin is low.

Rob ends his post suggesting that Phelps take up competitive eating and take down hot dog cramming champion Kobayashi. He also suggests that competitive eating become an Olympic event in the 2016 games, which is just silliness, and I won't repeat that here. Still, the walrus has created this fantastically rendered "what if" morph of Kobayashi and Phelps, and tonight I felt compelled to follow in his new internet meme.

So, there you go. Someone go edit Wikipedia's list of internet phenomena page and make us famous... without legal action being involved, preferably. Or, just go make your own and spread the new meme.

Here are the original two images I used, because I think it's amusing to compare:

The Brack Blog

This is a blog about the Brack family, focusing primarily on the kids. Let's be honest. That's why you're here anyway. The Brack adults are just uninteresting large people who serve to provide you with pictures of the children and stories of their recent hijinks.
